I need Help ASAP

ESRD started this conversation

September 2006, I was diagnosed with kidney failure and began dialysis. Within a month after starting dialysis, I found myself unable to perform neccesary jon functions of my job and was fired. I began looking for other work and had 2 interviews which looked very promising, but was unable to get a job offer due to my dialysis schedule and the companies wanted someone that would be able to work without requesting alot of time off. I applied for Disability and SSI and was awarded from SSI $305.50 a month and would begin receiving Disability in June 2007. Even though my wife works, we have used all savings and now are looking at being evicted and losing all utilities. My wife has had to put my family on her insurance and is paying $125 per week for insurance, and she is now bringing home about $150 per week. Raising 3 children, ages 2,12,and 16, and bringing home about $900 per month, it is very hard to provide needed things for the children, provide needed medications for my wife and myself( which currently runs $350 per month), and pay all the bills. We are trying to get through June, when my SSDI payments will start and I have tried all of the State programs in South Carolina, but I really do not see how my family will be able to survive or have a place to live until then.

I have applied last week at Vocational Rehabilitation and they have told me that I would get in for a consultation toward the end of April, but that really does not help the current situation. I have spoken with many of the churches in the area, but they do not have the funds due to massive layoffs in the textile industry in the area. I have even been working with my Social Worker at the dialysis center, but she is clueless and I have found out about programs using my computer and she has been very little help.

I want to work and provide for my family. I would do anything to work and provide for my family, but no one is willing to give me a chance to work. Even though I have a illness, I do not want this illness to affect my family any more than it already has and I am willing to do anything to support my family. Is there any programs out there can help me any type of loans that I could obtain to help reduce the amount of debt until I am able to obtain a job and work. Thanks.
